My Melbourne’ screened in December in India with terrific reviews and will shortly premiere in 22 cities across India, and in Australian cinemas later in March 2025.

Filmed in Melbourne, guided by some of Australia’s most exciting emerging filmmakers, this new film is an anthology of four diverse stories about identity and belonging. It’s of interest to all who call Australia home, including Australians from India and Afghanistan.

Invited by Julian Hill MP, Federal Member for Bruce, Assistant Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs, IFN representatives attended an exclusive Special Preview Screening to My Melbourne which can only be described as inspiring, heart-warming, and courageous.

The special screening was jointly hosted by Julian and Mitu Bhowmick AM from Mind blowing Films, and Festival Director of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

The screening was a wonderful event.  Following the screening, the audience was provided with a unique opportunity to engage in conversation with the creators and performers.

IFN extends their thanks to Jullian and Mitu for their kind invitation and congratulates everyone involved in the creation of this film!

Thanks also to the audience for making the event such a success.

Following the special screening of My Melbourne, Julian, Mitu, engaged in Q and A with the audience. What a fantastic experience for all!
