Governance Committees

From time to time, and to support good governance practice and the organisations strategic plan, the Executive Committee will establish operating Committees.

Established Committees will be governed by Terms of Reference that outline the role, responsibilities and operating procedures of the Committee and the Executive Committee shall review all Committees annually.

IFN Finance, Audit and Risk Management (FARM) Committee

Approved by the Executive Committee at the July 17th, 2024, Executive Committee meeting, the purpose of the FARM Committee is to assist the Executive Committee in relation to the oversight responsibilities relating to financial management and reporting, audit, and risk management matters, as detailed in the Terms of Reference or as may be directed by the Executive Committee.

IFN School Sub Committee – Annual Interfaith School Gathering

The School Sub Committee plays a vital role in the planning and execution of the Annual Interfaith School Gathering. This Sub Committee is made up of Interfaith Network staff, including Paris, the Community Education Officer, and Livia Carusi, the Executive Officer, as well as key staff members from participating schools. These school representatives serve as the primary contacts and are directly involved in shaping the event.

The Sub Committee is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the event, from setting the agenda to coordinating with faith leaders and managing logistics. They hold regular meetings throughout the year to discuss progress, address any challenges, and ensure that the event reflects the diverse perspectives and needs of the Greater Dandenong community. The Sub Committee’s collaborative efforts are crucial in bringing together local schools and faith representatives to create a meaningful and educational experience for all participants at the Annual Interfaith School Gathering.
