What people are saying about IFN’s Places of Worship Tours!

Thank you for running such an outstanding tour of places of worship for our Year 12 Religion and Society students. The day was exceptionally well organised, the presenters were engaging and informative, and the overall experience was both meaningful and enriching.

Our students gained valuable insights for their subject content while also broadening their understanding and appreciation of different faiths and traditions. The transport arrangements were equally great! The bus driver was courteous, friendly, and ensured a safe journey throughout.

The choice of venues to visit, as well as the timing of each session, was excellent and flowed smoothly. It was an amazing experience which provided the students with a lot of material to draw upon in their ongoing research and learning. Thank you again for your dedication, consideration, and care.

Our Tour today was very informative and enjoyable. The team learnt a lot about diverse faiths and cultures that will support our work with children and community. This is the third tour I have participated in, and every time I learn more. This is a very valuable activity, I highly recommend it to anyone who works with families or lives our multicultural community.

Thankyou for a wonderful day yesterday!  We thoroughly enjoyed our time together visiting the Synagogue, Temple and Mosque and meeting the religious leaders and learning so much about their beliefs and care of the sick and dying.  We came away feeling so much better connected with our sisters and brothers from other faith traditions.  As the Rabbi said, there are many paths to God.  It was a very enriching day for us.  It was great have the IFN Volunteer Tour Guide, Anita guiding us through the day and for keeping us on track. Thankyou for all the planning and preparation that went into making this a stimulating professional development day for us all.

Thank you for providing us the opportunity to visit and learn from so many interesting and engaging faith leaders on our tour yesterday. The team from the City of Greater Dandenong (CoGD) really enjoyed the tour (and lunch!).

Thank you so much for your commitment to our Interfaith excursion last Thursday and for your amazing facilitation between the participants at each segment of the day. We all had such a wonderful experience and felt so welcome at all the different places of worship that we visited. The Interfaith Program is so worthwhile, and we would like to make it a part of our annual Religious Program going forward.

Our 5/6 students thoroughly enjoyed the interfaith excursion, gaining profound insights from visiting Hindu, Islamic, and Buddhist temples. The excursion provided a deeper understanding of diverse faiths, and the highlight was the inspiring message, ‘Understanding leads to acceptance,’ shared by Mr. Tran at the Buddhist temple. The planning and execution of the excursion were exceptional, and we are eager to repeat this valuable experience in the future. We believe other schools would greatly benefit from such an enriching program.

Thank you for accommodating our full group during the recent Year 11 interfaith excursion. This made a significant difference both logistically and in helping the students continue to bond as a cohort. Each of the three places of worship was engaging and informative, and our students gained a great deal from the experience.

The Interfaith Tour was absolutely fantastic! It was such an insightful experience, learning directly from faith leaders was eye-opening and inspiring. I came away with a much deeper understanding and appreciation for our diverse community.

Attending a guided Places of Worship Tour with the Interfaith Network of the City of Greater Dandenong was a deeply enriching experience. Visiting various places of worship, I became acutely aware of the diverse ways people practice their faith, yet at the core, we are all the same. For over 30 years, these tours have shown that religion should unite, not divide, us.

I wish to thank the school and staff that were a part of last week’s Year 11 Camp. My daughter had the most wonderful day and has shared with family and friends since the camp what she saw and experienced at the different places of worship you visited. She described Thursday as one of the most educational days she has ever had, I don’t think I have ever heard that statement from her! Thank you for planning for and providing this opportunity for our children and ensuring that it was an enjoyable and educational opportunity for all.
