School Tours

School tours are offered from February through to November, Monday – Thursday. Bookings are essential, and the tours are open to Primary and Secondary Schools within and outside of the City of Greater Dandenong. Our school tours are often connected to the year and or subject curriculum as well as student development and growth.

School tours include an IFN Tour Guide, visits to 3 Places of Worship as well as important information, including ‘dress code’ requirements to support the experience of the participants.

Important information:

Please note that the participating school is responsible for student supervision, organizing transport including travel between tour locations and any meals, and snacks required by the participants.

For tour bookings, a minimum of 25 participants is required, and IFN Places of Worship Tours can accommodate large numbers.

Ticket pricing for School Tours is $12.60 per participant.

As part of the IFN on-line booking form, please ensure that any participant that has accessibility and, or sensory requirements, that you provide this information as it is a requirement of the booking process. This will ensure a positive experience for all participants.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Payment made through credit or debit card must be made at time of booking. School tours can request an invoice. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date. 

Cancellation of a tour by an organisation or by an individual guest 14 days prior to the tour, monies paid are refunded minus 30% administration fee.  Where possible, IFN will work with the organisation, individual to reschedule another tour date, within a 6-month period, however the 30% administration fee may still apply for costs incurred by IFN, including booked transportation costs, catering etc.

Cancellation of a tour by an organisation or by an individual guest within 7 days prior to the tour, monies paid are refunded minus 50% administration fee. Where possible, IFN will work with the organisation, individual to reschedule another tour date, within a 6-month period, however the 50% administration fee may still apply for costs incurred by IFN, including booked transportation costs, catering, etc.

No refunds or credits will be offered for tours cancelled 48 hours of the confirmed tour.

Any changes to confirmed tours may incur additional charges and no changes can be made less than 7 days prior to the day.

If attendees do not attend the tour without prior notice, no refund or credit will be offered.

Places of Worship Tours

A learning and connection experience like no other

In collaboration with our Faith and Spiritual Leaders, the Interfaith Network offers a unique opportunity to visit local Places of Worship and connect with a Faith Leader and, or a Community Member from the visited place of Worship with the aim of discovering and learning something new of their:

  • Values
  • Beliefs
  • Practices; and their
  • Service and work undertaken within their local communities

The IFN Places of Worship Tours Program is growing both in interest and in bookings. IFN is strongly committed to ensuring your preferred Tour date is accommodated, and we encourage you to ‘reach out’ as early as possible to avoid disappointment. IFN is starting to receive booking inquires for school and specialized tours 12 months in advance of the Tour date.

IFN Staff and Volunteer Tour Guides

Our IFN Staff and Volunteer Tour Guides are highly committed, experienced, and skilled individuals. In addition, our IFN Staff and Volunteers also hold a National Police Check and current Working with Children Check. 

Tour Transport

For Places of Worship School Tours, transport is organised by the participating school. It is in exceptional circumstances, that IFN will organise transport for participating schools.

The transport provided for both Public and Specialised Tours is organised by IFN and provided by an independent Transport Company. Your tour ticket purchase includes your transport.
