Marking its 13th year, the Interfaith Network (IFN) of the City of Greater Dandenong, our Members and Supporters walked alongside many other community groups and members in support of ending family, domestic violence in our community.

 Starting at the iconic ‘Dandenong Market’, over 300 people walked in solidarity to Harmony Square.  

 On arrival, the participants were greeted with a warm Welcome to Country, led by Uncle Mark Brown, welcome messages from the City of Greater Dandenong, Chief Executive Officer, Jacqui Weatherill, and newly elected Mayor Sophie Tan.  

 The keynote address was delivered by Elvis Martin, who shared a powerful, courageous and inspiring testimonial as well as a call to action for all. Thanks Elvis for sharing your story!

 The event closed with the launch of the City of Greater Dandenong, Walk Against Violence clip, which included 3 IFN Community Leaders, Mehtap Williams, (Current IFN President) Father Jean Mawal (Past IFN Executive Committee Member) and Jasbir Singh Suropada (Current IFN Vice-President)

 IFN thanks the City of Greater Dandenong for organizing this community event, all who attended, and joins in the call to end domestic, family violence in Australia.
