Over 50 individuals, including Faith Leaders, IFN members, community members, and elected officials gathered for the annual ceremony.

Uncle Mark Brown, Bunurong Elder, led a powerful Welcome to Country, which was then followed by the lighting of the ‘Many Faiths, One People’, candle, as a symbol of light, peace and harmony within our community.

Cr Deputy Mayor Sophie Tan welcomed the attendees, and this was followed by Mehtap Williams, IFN President, who delivered the official welcome.

The annual pledge to the Common Statement was made, and in a sign of unity, the statement was then presented by the IFN President to the Deputy Mayor.

Following the formalities, participants enjoyed lively conversation, good food and music.
