On the 20th July, the City of Greater Dandenong Interfaith Network, in partnership with City of Greater Dandenong Council, hosted a Half-Day Forum for faith representatives and Council Staff from its seven neighbouring municipalities in the South East Region.

Representatives from the Cities of Casey, Cardinia, Frankston, Kingston, Knox, Monash, and Mornington attended to network and share ideas and to collaborate on the effective management and sustainability of the growing numbers of Tours to Places of Worship requested which have specific impact on the City of Greater Dandenong.
This forum marked the commencement of what will now be ongoing networking and discussions between the municipalities in the South East Region. Of crucial importance is the coordination and management of the Tours to Places of Worship within the City of Greater Dandenong so that:
- other local interfaith/multifaith networks are included,
- faith leaders and places of worship in the City of Greater Dandenong are not overstretched and
- the City of Greater Dandenong Interfaith Network’s work is sustained and supported.
The City of Greater Dandenong Interfaith Network has a well earned reputation for both its Public and Special Tours – Tours that have now been conducted over nearly two decades.
