New Initiative – Train, Engage, Connect, and Support (TECS) Project
The TECS project aims to build the capacity of multicultural faith and community leaders to effectively support individuals experiencing FDSV within their communities.
Following extensive consultations and co-design sessions with diverse community and faith leaders, service providers, and people with lived experience of FDSV across Australia, a training package targeted at leaders supporting migrant and refugee communities has been developed.
The offered training is free, online training.
This training package includes an e-learning module and a conversation guide and can be accessed via the link or QR code provided below.
This 3-hour online training will help you learn how to safely support people experiencing family, domestic and sexual violence in your community. It is a self-paced – you can complete small sections and return at a time convenient to you. This is an opportunity to strengthen your leadership and be a part of positive change in your community.
Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of completion.
You will also have the opportunity to join our Learning Circles. This is a space to share your experiences, provide feedback, and engage with fellow community and faith leaders. Participation in Learning Circle is paid in recognition of your valuable time and input.
