We Built This City Exhibition

To celebrate the We Built this City heritage interpretation project, the community can now view all project material alongside Council’s heritage collections.

The project celebrates the stories of some of Greater Dandenong’s favourite heritage places as chosen by our community.

Come and see stories for each place come to life through short videos, historic objects, photographs and oral histories from Council and local historical society collections.

Visitors are encouraged to share their recollections of sites through our Community Heritage Memory Book and take home a postcard of their favourite site.

City of Greater Dandenong gratefully acknowledges the support of the Victorian Government, Public Record Office Victoria, Dandenong and District Historical Society and Springvale and District Historical Society for making this project possible.
