The Interfaith Network offers a series of events throughout the year.

The events are open to Faith and Spiritual communities, our supporters and partners including local government, businesses and the local community within the City of Greater Dandenong who share and support the IFN’s vision of ‘Many Faiths, One People’, and wish to learn more about the Network, our members, as well as the opportunities to collaborate together. Our events are also open to people and groups outside of the City of Greater Dandenong including other Interfaith Networks.

As our events space is continuously evolving, please ensure that you visit on a regular basis to view our Upcoming Events!

  • IFN Volunteer Tour Guide Information SessionOctober 2024

    Tours to Places of Worship are structured in such a way as to encourage and promote inclusion, understanding and respect of diverse faiths and cultures. Through participation in the Tours, the awareness raised, and the educational outcomes experienced will positively work towards developing a socially cohesive community and one that recognises and values the diversity of living, working, or visiting in the City of Greater Dandenong.

  • Greater Dandenong Combined Schools Interfaith Gathering: “Sharing the Load”, October 22nd, 2024

    The Interfaith Network is thrilled to announce the Greater Dandenong Combined Schools Interfaith Gathering, an exclusive event for schools where students will present different Faiths in collaboration with Faith Leaders. This year’s theme, “Sharing the Load,” reflects the unity and cooperation essential towards our shared vision of ‘Many Faiths, One People’.

    Aligned with the United Nations, International Year of Camelids, our theme highlights the resilience and support shown by these animals.   • Talking Faith Forum, Youth, Faith and Identity, Thursday, November 21st, 2024, 6.30pm – 8.30pm

    A partnership between the Greater Dandenong Libraries, the Interfaith Network, City of Greater Dandenong, and Headspace Dandenong. Bringing Faith Communities together, encouraging open dialogue, fostering mutual respect, and understanding. Ethics in Turbulent Times: How to Bring Society to Higher Ground – A six-week series of events!

An international series to stimulate, inform, and upskill.  A mix of lectures, contributions by leading experts, Q and A, debates, conversation in small groups, role play, and other exercises. Conducted by Professor Joseph Camilleri.

The Peace Day Conference, Join the Conversation ! Saturday September 21st, 9:30am – 3:30pm

The Peace Day conference is part of the interactive Way2Happiness seminar series that provides a holistic life education approach to foster good people, good education, and good global citizens; promoting common benefit and sustainable development.

Based on the universal values of living consciously, responsibly, and lovingly, programs engage the philosophy of “living for the sake of others” as the key solution for everyone to live happy and fulfilling lives.

The Baha’i Community Event

The Baha’i Community of Greater Dandenong has great pleasure in inviting you and other members of the Interfaith Network to join us in a special evening, celebrating the Birth of Baha’u’llah, the founder of our Faith. There will be a short service, followed by various presentations and dinner will be served. This is a special occasion for Baha’is and we are very pleased to invite you to join us in our celebration.

2024 Victorian Interfaith Networks Festival

An annual multifaith and multicultural festival

The Faith Communities Council of Victoria, in partnership with Port Phillip Interfaith Network and City of Port Phillip, would like to invite you to the 2024 Victorian Interfaith Networks Festival on Sunday, November 17 2024 @ St. KIlda Town Hall. 

The Victorian Interfaith Networks Festival is a grass-roots conference which aims to help build the capacity and sustainability of existing multifaith/interfaith networks, bring people up-to-date with current multifaith/interfaith matters and provide networking opportunities.

2025 Events!

Harmony Week, March 18th, 2025– March 24th, 2025

  • Harmony Week is focused on multiculturalism in Australia – A time to reflect, to celebrate and give thanks to the significant contributions made by communities. Harmony Week 2025 will take place from March 18th, 2025, to March 24th, 2025. March 21st is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and Harmony week is celebrated in the week that surrounds March 21st.

The Interfaith Network will be hosting an event to mark Harmony Week and further details will be posted in due course. In the meantime, IFN welcomes suggestions, ideas from members for the event, including keynote speakers. If you would like to share your suggestions, ideas, please email our Executive Officer, Livia Carusi, via executive@interfaithnetwork.org.au

National Volunteer Week 2025, May 19th, 2025 – May 25th, 2025

National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers and their important contribution to our communities. The Interfaith Network will be hosting an event to mark National Volunteer Week 2025 and further details will be posted in due course.
